Thanks for visiting my blog page! I'd like to share with you briefly what my show is about - hope that you'll pay me a good old-fashioned radio visit some day and keep coming back for more. Each show you hear will be quite different than the previous one - of this I can assure you. I have no idea what the Muse will share till production time rolls around, at which point it's then revealed.
My shows are usually divided into two main offerings:
YouTube Sampler:
Once a theme has settled firmly in my mind, I then begin the lengthy task of editing together many YouTube audio-clips which best reflect that theme. I like to think of each YouTube Sampler offering as an audio-collage; a creative labor of love.
The Incense Stick:
During the last ten or fifteen minutes of each show I usually share an inspiring audio-clip of a spiritual/philosophical bent. Various poets, spiritual teachers, and philosophers that I've highlighted in the past include: Ralph Waldo Emerson, Rumi, Walt Whitman, H. D. Thoreau, Deepak Chopra, Mooji, Allan Watts, Ram Dass, Bertrand Russell, Carl Jung, Dali Lama, Byron Katie, Ramana Maharshi, and many others.
Themes of Past Shows:
* Comparing spiritual belief systems, practices, and points of view: Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, Advaita Vedanta, Sufi - anything goes.
* Music: tunes from the 20's, 30's, 40's, to Dylan, Doors, and Joplin - Stones, Beethoven, Iggy Pop, Talking Heads, Willy Nelson, Leonard Cohen, Bob Marley, Dave Mathews, - anything goes.
* Interviews, speeches, poetry, etc.: John and Robert Kennedy, Carl Jung, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Rumi, Albert Einstein, Deepak Chopra, Barak Obama, Bill/Hillary Clinton, Ghandi, Hitler, - anything goes.
* Right-brain meditative rides: Ocean waves, traffic sounds, rock n' roll, new-age synth, chants/mantras, symphonies, cartoon-clips, stand-up comedy, songs of the humpback whale, train whistles, children's laughter, - anything goes.
Give your left-brain a two hour vacation every Wednesday night or Saturday afternoon!
